Whether it’s your main education track or complementing a degree in another specified field, the tech learning found at Bitmaker acts like a professional springboard into the job market. Starting this week, we’re bringing our accelerated tech skills training to the biggest university campus in Canada – we’re excited to announce our workshop series at U of T!
We’ve been taking on Toronto’s tech skill gap since 2012. Collaborating with U of T highlights the importance of addressing the changing needs of an increasingly technical workforce. Though the digital skills we teach are accessible without a degree, there’s no doubt that tech skills greatly complement higher education.
As an alumni of both Bitmaker and U of T, Devan Hurst has a first hand experience of the way bootcamp accelerators and university learning complement each other. "Bitmaker helped me build off of the theory I learned in my undergrad. The Web Development course enabled me to couple the theoretical knowledge I received from U of T with in-demand, practical skills. Between the two experiences, I now have access to a wide range of learning resources, skills, and career opportunities." (Check out Devan's awesome AI bot for the game Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes. Take a look at those Reddit upvotes!)
Our on-campus workshop series will offer a primer on Web Development, User Experience Design, Digital Marketing, and more. We’re kicking things off Thursday, April 14th at 2:00pm with Intro to Web Development with instructor Fabio Gelsomini.
